Recently featured in Carats + Cake, Emily and Alex’s modern wedding at Brindare Napa Valley was all about thoughtful design. Their vision was modern and masculine, with timeless details throughout the day. With 130 guests, every part of the celebration was carefully planned to create a memorable guest experience.
The design went beyond simply adding décor to the vineyard. Each space was transformed with its own look and feel. Custom flooring, curated rentals, and carefully chosen details helped bring the vision together.
An Intimate Ceremony in the Olive Grove
Emily and Alex exchanged vows in Brindare’s olive grove. The setting gave the ceremony a more intimate feel while still showcasing the beauty of the property. The olive trees created a natural backdrop for the ceremony. The design stayed simple and intentional, allowing the setting to remain part of the experience.
Dinner and Dancing in the Vineyard
After the ceremony and cocktail hour, guests moved into the vineyard for dinner and dancing. Custom flooring created a defined space for the reception while keeping the outdoor setting at the center of the celebration. The design used darker tones and rich textures to give the space a modern feel. Every rental and décor element was selected with the overall vision in mind.
As the sun went down, the vineyard became the perfect setting for dinner under the open sky. The space felt polished without taking away from the natural beauty of Brindare.
A Dramatic After-Party Transformation
The after-party brought an entirely different energy. Guests moved indoors, where deep orange velvet draping transformed the space. The warmer tones created a bold contrast with the reception design and gave the evening a fresh look. This change in atmosphere made the after-party feel like its own experience. It was a fun way to end the night while still connecting back to the overall design.
Designing an Immersive Guest Experience
One of the most memorable parts of Emily and Alex’s wedding was how much thought went into the guest experience. Instead of using one design throughout the entire day, each space had its own personality.
The ceremony felt intimate. Dinner and dancing brought guests into the vineyard. Then, the after-party shifted indoors with a darker and more dramatic look. The spaces felt different, but they still worked together. That balance helped create a wedding that felt intentional from start to finish.
