Bringing the Greek-Inspired Design to Life For This Birthday Party at Montage Healdsburg
The design direction for this celebration was clear from the beginning! Embrace the energy, color, and hospitality that Greek culture is known for while creating a sophisticated outdoor dining experience.
We leaned fully into the theme through a bold color palette! Think: vibrant blues, magentas, hot pinks, soft blushes, and rich berry tones. The florals immediately became one of the defining design elements of the evening. Lush arrangements overflowing with peonies, garden roses, and seasonal blooms created a striking contrast against the classic blue-and-white details woven throughout the tablescapes. The custom linens brought in a beautiful Mediterranean-inspired pattern! All while the woven chargers, blue-rimmed napkins, fresh grapes, and layered tabletop details added texture and personality to every place setting. The result felt colorful, welcoming, and effortlessly elegant. It was truly so stunning!!
One of our favorite installations was the floral photo backdrop. Covered in layers of vibrant blooms, it became a gathering place throughout the evening as family and friends stopped to capture photos together. It wasn’t just décor—it became part of the experience.

Montage Healdsburg continues to be one of our favorite properties in Sonoma County for celebrations of all kinds. The Oak Lawn & Terrace offers an incredible setting! It truly feels connected to the natural beauty of Wine Country while still providing the sophistication and service Montage is known for. Surrounded by oak trees, rolling hills, and vineyard views, the space creates an unforgettable backdrop before a single design element is even added.
For this birthday celebration, the outdoor setting allowed guests to dine beneath café lights while taking in the surrounding landscape. The open-air layout provided plenty of room for long family-style dining tables, entertainment, dancing, and custom installations without ever feeling crowded. We especially loved how the venue’s neutral palette allowed the vibrant florals and colorful details to take center stage. It was the perfect canvas for a celebration that was designed to feel joyful, energetic, and full of life.
A Custom Menu Inspired by Greek Hospitality
Food was a major part of the guest experience! The evening’s custom menu was thoughtfully designed to complement the theme. Guests enjoyed a selection of Mediterranean-inspired dishes and appetizers that reflected the flavors and traditions of a classic Greek gathering. Beautifully presented spreads encouraged conversation, connection, and that sense of community that is so central to Greek celebrations.
One of the things we loved most about this event was how every element, from the menu to the music to the décor, worked together to tell a cohesive story. Nothing felt forced or overly themed. Instead, every detail contributed to an atmosphere that felt authentic and personal!!
An Epic Greek Band & The Most Memorable Money Dance For a Birthday Party at Montage Healdsburg
As beautiful as the design was, the true heart of the celebration came alive once the music started. An authentic Greek band transformed the evening from a gorgeous dinner party into a full-scale celebration. Guests quickly filled the dance floor, singing along, dancing together, and embracing the traditions that made the evening so meaningful.
One of the highlights of the night was the money dance. As music filled the terrace, guests surrounded the dance floor, celebrating alongside the family while dollar bills floated through the air. It was energetic, emotional, and completely unforgettable! The kind of moment that perfectly captures why we love producing events centered around family traditions and cultural heritage.
By the end of the evening, the dance floor was packed, the laughter was nonstop, and every guest felt part of something truly special!!
